Program/Diversity Committee
The Program/Diversity Committee shall facilitate the professional
development of the members by creating and implementing educational
programs related to the contemporary management of human resources
in healthcare organizations. The Committee shall be responsible
for all related program logistics including speaker identification,
determination of location, dates and times. The Program/Diversity
Committee shall be responsible for ensuring that program presenters
reflect the population at large, particularly in relation to race
and gender.
Legislative/Labor/Employee Relations Committee
The Legislative/Labor/Employee Relations Committee shall advise
the Executive Committee on matters pertaining to communications
with other healthcare and human resources organizations in the Commonwealth,
other New England chapters of ASHHRA and the media.
The Committee shall promote and expand the understanding, active
participation and influence on legislation and political relations
issues affecting healthcare policy and human resources management
in collaboration with local, state and national organizations.
The committee will ensure that at least one program for community
outreach occurs annually, that the committee will submit one article
annually for the MHHRA Newsletter and for the ASHHRA Region I Newsletter.
The Committee shall coordinate with Program/Diversity Committee
on at least one MHHRA program; and the Committee will work with
the Public and Legislative Affairs Committee Chair of ASHHRA Region
I to coordinate any efforts regarding the promotion of political
issues affecting healthcare policy and human resources management
at the local or state level.
Recruitment/Retention/Recognition Committee
The Recruitment, Retention and Recognition Committee shall advise
the Executive Committee on issues pertaining to membership recruitment
and overall satisfaction.
The Committee shall provide programs for new member orientation,
mentoring and outreach to new healthcare organizations.
The Committee shall encourage the recruitment and involvement
of both HR leaders and individual contributors reflecting the diversity
of the membership population.
Regional Integration
Regional Integration will provide information to MHHRA Members
regarding what is happening in all Massachusetts regions as well
as in the rest of region one.
Regional Integration will encourage participation in the Regional
Conference through presentations at MHHRA meetings and newsletter
articles.
Regional Integration will host, in conjunction with an active member
of each region at least one meeting in each region to sell MHHRA
and obtain feedback on what kinds of things we could do to assist
them with their Human Resources concerns.
Business Partners
The Business Committee shall advise the Executive Committee on
issues pertaining to Business Partners collaboration and fundraising
concerns provided by advertising, sponsorships, and donations, establishing
a secure financial resource base.
